Our founder, Matt Brown, faced a dilemma that many can relate to: he wanted to move out of his parents' house but couldn’t bear the thought of paying rent. That’s when the idea hit—why not buy a multifamily property and get paid to move out? In 2015, Matt took the leap, purchasing his first 4-family property.
With no prior experience in property management, Matt dove headfirst into learning. He watched countless YouTube videos, shadowed experienced contractors, and used his background in Economics/Finance to implement efficient systems for self-management. 

By 2016, he acquired his next investment—a 3-family property.

As his real estate knowledge and portfolio grew, Matt realized he wanted more control over his transactions. In 2016, he earned his New Hampshire Real Estate Salesperson license. This step allowed him to help clients find their dream homes and mentor aspiring investors. Matt’s passion and drive soon led him to earn his New Hampshire Real Estate Principal Broker’s license and officially founded Galactic Realty Group on June 18, 2018. 

His innovative approach attracted like-minded individuals, and he quickly expanded his team of real estate agents. In 2020, after nearly eight years of dedicated service as a police officer with the Manchester Police Department, Matt made the bold decision to retire and focus full-time on his growing real estate portfolio. He launched Galactic Estates to provide efficient in-house property management, helping other property owners optimize their investments. 

Recognizing gaps in the mortgage process, Matt pursued his Mortgage Loan Originator license in 2021, adding even more value to his clients by securing the best mortgage options. In 2023, he opened his own mortgage brokerage, Galactic Loans, giving him complete control over pricing and product offerings.

That same year, Matt revitalized a 10-unit multifamily property with a failing laundromat and turned it into Galactic Laundry, a thriving community hub in Concord, NH.

In 2025, after acquiring his 100th unit, he began offering others to join in on his real estate deals via the founding of Galactic Capital, opening the door for more investors to experience the same success and financial freedom he’s built. In 2026, Galactic Insurance was born to truly become the one stop shop.
